The most important thing in this case for you would be the data you accumulated after observing her. What were the statements which made her laugh, or made her think seriously. On the basis of this study, you have to work out the best way to approach her, which is gonna land you on the right ground. Imagine in your mind, that you are approaching her, how you started talking and her possible reactions (based upon your fresh study). Work out the best way. Go ahead. Be cocky and do it.

   Prepare yourself. In case of possible future encounters, look like her league. After the observations you made in the lab, (the first encounter) it's time for homework. Study her friend circle, study her dressing sense, and analyze yourself. Figure out points which may make you look like an alien to her. Figure out more points and eliminate them. Groom yourself and make yourself like you can be the gem of her league- you are the dream friend incarnate. Ha ha ha, don't try too hard. Just, look like her league. I also call this practice a camouflage, like a lion trying to hide himself in long grasses before attacking.

   Do not go directly to your target. Let your waves reach there first. Befriend her friends, maybe friends of her friends, and become their favorite. You do not have to try too hard for this. Your studies, observations and homework will help you achieve this, as you know exactly what these people like, what these people perceive right, what wrong and who is their favorite movie star.

   Be cool. Never let any of your new friends know about your interest in your target, as this could ruin the whole plan. For them, you are just a cool guy, a nice, new and cool guy to hang out with, cool enough that they could talk positively about you in your absence.

    Enlarge your new friend circle. Now it's time to expand your "new friend" circle and engulf your target in it, remember, your target is just a new friend of yours, she is nothing special.

    Assess the situation. Now its time for personal interaction. You will notice that you are in a much better position compared to the one where you were making first observations about her. A charisma accompanies you, you are her friend technically, and she's heard all positives about you from her friends. And now, you have a more legitimate and more reasonable social access to her.

    Get to know her. After you are inseparably blended into her friend circle, and you are participating in every significant event of the group, the best opportunities to strike present themselves. Opportunity could present itself to you at any time, but generally act like this: when you approach her be confident, cool, look slightly careless, and most important, be yourself. Don't look like you are trying too hard, like you are acting, or you are not normal. Treat her as your other friends, the only difference being, that she must notice that you and she have a lot in common, such as: likes and dislikes, motives, and ambitions (about which you had already researched). Meet her again and again, and every time, leave the same impression on her. She should start feeling that she enjoys your company most, and so do you (this is what she should feel). Never neglect your other friends, treat them all well, because there may be a possibility that your target could consult any of her friends about you, and at that time, the consult must support you.

    Make it solid. After you start to realize that the girl is now inclined towards you, this is when you have to pay extra care. She'll expect more things from you than she expects from just a friend, and you have to take care of that. When you feel that the bond between you is now strong and solid, this is when you have achieved what you wished for.
